Welcome to Lebanon’s Clearing-House Mechanism for Biodiversity

This Website provides an information platform and access to the Lebanese Biodiversity Clearing House (LBCH), part of the Clearing-House Mechanism of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) of Rio 1992.

The objective of this website is to provide a platform for exchange of information on biological diversity in Lebanon among concerned institutions and persons. This platform also serves as a resource and information center on the status, management, problems and policies related to biodiversity in Lebanon and as an accessible means of information exchange and dissemination for concerned parties in and outside Lebanon.

Similar biodiversity clearing-house mechanisms have been established for other countries.
